Nikkis crowdfunding page raised an incredible £4010 and because of all your amazing generosity, we are now able to purchase 2 Ultrasound Machines, one for the Heart Centre in Manchester & one for the Liverpool Heart and Chest Centre. Nikki and ourselves, received exceptional care and support from all the staff in the ACHD unit over many years at both these hospitals and we cannot think of a more fitting tribute and lasting legacy for our precious Nikki. Nikki's medical team say that these machines will not only be an enormous help for their staff, they will also help to relieve an awful lot of anxiety and stress for all their unwell patients when taking blood samples. We will be having the machines engraved/labelled as a tribute to Nikki.

Unfortunately, there has been a delay in obtaining these machines. They have been trying to acquire the correct model on a trail basis before purchasing them to make sure they are happy with their choice. The Company they are working with haven't had any in the country to loan on trial so have been sourcing one from Europe. This has been delayed by Covid and they have now asked the medical device team at MRI to assist them in finding an alternative device as it is taking so long.
